The Crimson Kiss

I do not know about you but when I am feeling sad, happy, excited, I usually turn to music, poetry and inspirational quotes. One person that stands out for me is a girl from Montreal. Her name is Cici B. A.K.A The Crimson Kiss. She is a self-made author and has over 100k followers on Instagram alone. She currently has five books out on Amazon, and she is always working on new things. What I love about her is her ability to put the deepest and realest feelings into words. She writes about her personal experiences and relationships. She writes about how she dealt with it all and how she moved on. She stands out to me the most because her stuff was all I was reading while I was going through a tough time in my life. It made me feel less alone and it allowed me to see on paper exactly what I was feeling.Even if she did not know me, she knew exactly how I felt.

This author has a special place in my heart because her words helped me understand that one day soon I would be a strong independent woman and learn to realize that this horrible event was just a life lesson. When I was unable to figure out exactly what I was feeling, I would turn to her books and Instagram, and there would always be something written in her pages that would make me think, "Finally, someone truly gets it". Knowing that someone has been through the same thing you did, it helps you feel like your not alone and someone understands. They got through it and they have become a better woman for it.

I highly suggest you read all her books, even her erotica series 😉 because it is real and honest writing. No bullshit, no excuses, just real-talk. Her style of writing isn't sugar coated, its the way she speaks, and the way she interacts, and to be honest, its refreshing. When you go through what she and so many other woman have gone through, reading it with no filter gives a certain amount of satisfaction. A way to release all that energy. With her popularity rising this year, she also launched an online store for her merchandise. She has phone cases, t-shirts, coffee mugs, wall prints etc... with certain quotes on them. This too has been a great hit. Nothing like wearing your heart on your sleeve.

Most of the time if I am posting quotes on Instagram, it will come from her page. That is where most of her stuff will be –other than her books. Her social media is jammed packed with all the best quotes, recent updates and excerpts from the book and pictures from fans who bought the book or their kind words.

Another fun thing about this author, is her appearances on snapchat. Almost every day she will do what she calls “snapisodes”. It is pretty much a snapchat story of the craziness that happens to her on the daily. They are always something I look forward too at the end of the day. They are witty and humorous. She will also post any recent events or updates on their first.
